The transport system operating between the various communities is able to offer continuity through its intermodal transfer hubs which allow passengers to transfer across to various other networks. 

Consequently, the department of Savoie has nine bus stations. They each have a different function, depending on their location:

• The main purpose of seven of them, which were deployed on the occasion of the Albertville Olympic Games, is to transport passengers arriving by train to the Savoie winter sport resorts.
• The Chambéry bus station services a more permanent client base, coming from the town's peripheral areas.
• Opened in December 2009, the Chambéry airport bus station offers connecting services for airline passengers travelling to winter sports resorts in the Savoie region.
