  • FAQ itinerary search

By default, all the main modes of transport (bus, coach, train) are taken into account for the trip calculation. For more specific needs (disability or personal choice for example), you may choose to deselect one or several modes of transport. In this case, only the solutions using the selected modes of transport will be offered.

You can also ask to use additional modes of transport, which are not offered by default: to do a portion of the journey by car, in a taxi or on a bike, to use transport services on request and of local interest, to do a longer walk, etc.

  • You may access the mobile version of the Mobi’Savoie website at the following address: http://mobile.mobisavoie.fr

  • While you are doing trip searches, you may get a result that you’re not satisfied with, either because the route is not clear, or because you’re sure that it’s not the best solution.

In this case, please don’t hesitate to let us know your opinion, by clicking on the “Give my opinion” link appearing at the bottom right of each page of the route (together with the “print”, “send to a friend” etc. functionality). This link points to a form that allows you to express your point of view about a solution offered by Mobi’Savoie, in a few simple steps, and to send the administration team a copy of the requested itinerary as well as the route page obtained.

Following your explanations, your Mobi’Savoie contact will test your itinerary and, depending on the case, will help you to find a satisfactory solution, provide you with additional explanations, or will make changes to the calculator or to the transport data, in order to improve the quality of the solutions offered.

  • 4 trip options are offered:

    • the fastest: this option allows you to find, for the dates and times searched for, the trips with the shortest travel time.

    • with the fewest change overs: this option allows you, as a priority, to search for solutions with the lowest number of correspondence trips. If you choose this option, the solutions offered may be slower (a bus service can take you from one point to another without you having to change over, but it may entail many stops and detours within a suburb). Finally, if only solutions with change overs are available for the requested itinerary, these will nonetheless be offered to you.

    • the least walking involved: to do a communal transport trip, you need to walk to reach the point of departure (bus, coach or station stop) as well as to reach your final destination after having got off the bus, coach or train. The “least walking” option allows you, as a priority, to search for solutions requiring little walking. It does not, however, allow you to exclude any portion of a walk.

    • the least expensive: for any transport solution, Mobi'Savoie also provides an indication of the “full rate” price for the trip. The “least expensive” option allows you, as a priority, to search for the least expensive solutions, on the basis of a “full price” comparison on each network. This option does not take into consideration subscriptions or reductions offered by some networks. If the “least expensive” option is selected, the solutions offered may be slower than those offered without the price criteria applied.
  • Mobi’Savoie is a multimodal information system allowing users to plan their trips across the entire Savoie department.

  • The calendar offers dates for which all the partner transport networks on Mobi’Savoie have provided their data.

Generally, it is possible to conduct searches up to 90 days from the current date, but there may be a fewer options during certain times of the year. For example, in June and July the search period may be limited to 60 or even 30 days if some of the networks have not yet provided the timetables that will apply from the end of summer break.

It is not possible to conduct searches prior to the current date.

You need to plan a minimum of 15 mins to do a change over from the train to the bus (or the other way around). This time should be extended should the user not have their ticket ready on arrival at the bus station.

  • The times are indicated for normal traffic conditions.

  • Yes, it is advisable for groups to book. For a group of over 20 people, contact Mobi’Savoie on 0 820 205 330 (local calls from France) or +33 4 79 75 36 13 (international calls).

  • In winter, it is advisable to plan a buffer of a minimum of one hour between the bus’s expected arrival and the train’s departure in order to compensate for possible circulation problems (due to poor weather conditions or heavy traffic).
